- MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM AND SANTA CRUZ -- You'll travel north from Southern California with a stop for a no-host lunch at Harris Ranch then on to Monterey. Here, you'll have the afternoon to explore the world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. Located at the ocean’s edge, the Aquarium is a window to the magical marine world – home to sea otters, sharks, seahorses, tuna, penguins and thousands of other marine animals. In addition to changing special exhibitions, the acclaimed permanent exhibits include a towering three-story kelp forest; touch pools and other hands-on exhibits; and the million-gallon Open Sea exhibit. After visiting the Aquarium. you'll continue north to the seaside town of Santa Cruz. Situated on the northern edge of Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz is known for its moderate climate, the natural beauty of its coastline, redwood forests, and is home its famous Boardwalk and beaches. You'll check in to the Days Inn Santa Cruz for a two night stay. The evening is at your leisure to sample one of the many restaurants in Santa Cruz.

- ROARING CAMP RAILROAD AND THE WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE -- After breakfast, you'll climb aboard the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad as you travel over trestles, through towering redwood groves and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to the summit of Bear Mountain. Along the way, conductors narrate the history of Roaring Camp, the railroad and the forest. A fun Chuckwagon BBQ lunch is included back in the main camp. After lunch, you'll travel to Los Gatos, home of the famous Winchester Mystery House. On your guided tour you'll wander through 110 of the 160 rooms of this Victorian mansion, designed and built by the Winchester Rifle heiress, Sarah Winchester. From the Grand Ballroom to Sarah's private Seance Chambers, you'll be impressed by the staggering amount of creativity, energy and expense which kept hammers pounding 24 hours a day for over 38 years. Upon returning to Santa Cruz, the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

- LUNCH AT THE APPLE FARM AND RETURN HOME -- After breakfast, you'll depart Santa Cruz and travel south on Highway 101 to San Luis Obispo for lunch at the Apple Farm. The Apple Farm Restaurant & Bakery has been a favorite spot for decades for locals as well as the travelers. Their local farm to table cuisine, fresh pastries, and pies are world famous!
